Why are chat message times different from my local time?

Chat always shows times and the “Today / Yesterday” dividers in US Pacific Time, whatever your computer’s time zone is.

Good to know

• If you’re outside the Pacific time zone, add or subtract your difference from Pacific Time to get your local time. For example, Eastern Time is 3 hours ahead.
• The order of messages is always correct. Only the displayed clock time is in Pacific Time.
• There’s currently no setting to change the time zone chat uses.
