How do I create a poll?

Any member who isn’t read-only can start a poll from Team → Announcements with Create a poll.

Steps

Go to Team → Announcements.
Click Create a poll.
Enter the Question and at least two Options. Use + Add option for more, or the x to remove one.
Choose your settings:
- Allow multiple choices: people can pick more than one option.
- Anonymous votes: vote counts are shown, but not who voted for what.
- Closes at (optional): a date and time when voting stops.
Click Post poll. It appears in the Announcements feed.

A poll needs 2 to 10 different options. The closing time must be in the future and within a year.
You can close your own poll early with Close poll. Admins can close anyone’s poll. Once closed, no more votes are accepted.
Polls can’t be edited or deleted after posting. If you made a mistake, close it and post a new one.
Posting a poll doesn’t send notifications. Mention it in chat if you want people to see it quickly.
Admins can also attach a poll to an announcement, but those polls can’t be anonymous or have a closing time.
