Why were some rows skipped or flagged during my import?

Rows with errors (shown in red) are skipped. Rows with warnings (shown in amber) are imported, but WorkHub filled in or left out the value it couldn’t use. The preview lists each problem by row number.

Steps

  1. In the preview, open Problems in X rows to see each row number and what’s wrong.
  2. Fix those rows in your spreadsheet.
  3. Save it as CSV again and click Upload & preview.
  4. If the valid rows were already imported, upload only the fixed rows so you don’t create duplicate tasks.

Good to know

Common errors (row skipped): - “Title is required” or “Name is required”: the required column is empty. - Title or name longer than 255 characters, or a description over 64 KB. - “Email … is not a valid address”, or “A client with email … already exists”.

Common warnings (row imported with a change): - Unknown status (set to pending) or unknown priority (set to normal). - “Could not read due date …, left empty”. - “Assignee … is not a member of this company, left unassigned”. - A tag longer than 50 characters (skipped), or an hourly rate that isn’t a number (left empty).

Problems with the whole file: - “The file has no”title" column" (or “name” for clients): rename your header or download the template. - “The first row must be the column headers”, “The file is empty”, “The file has more than 5,000 rows. Split it into smaller files”, or “The file is larger than 5 MB”. - “Upload not found or expired. Upload the file again.”: more than an hour passed between upload and import. - If the import itself fails, nothing is saved, so you can safely try again.
