How do I add my birthday so the team can celebrate (or hide it)?
Add your birth month and day under My dates on Team → Kudos & celebrations. To keep it private, uncheck Show my birthday and work anniversary to the team.
Steps
- Go to Team → Kudos & celebrations.
- Under My dates, choose your Birth month and Birth day. Only the month and day are saved, never the year.
- Leave Show my birthday and work anniversary to the team checked to be included, or uncheck it to stay private.
- Click Save.
Good to know
- Upcoming birthdays and anniversaries for the next 30 days appear under Upcoming celebrations.
- On the day itself, everyone else in the company gets an in-app notification such as “Today is [name]’s birthday”. It doesn’t go by email or push, and it isn’t sent to you.
- Turning off Show my birthday and work anniversary to the team hides both your birthday and your work anniversary, and stops those notifications.
- Your birthday is saved to your account. The show/hide choice is set separately for each company you belong to.
- If you were born on February 29, your birthday is celebrated on February 28 in non-leap years.
- To remove your birthday, set month and day back to blank and save.
