What does the number next to Team in the menu mean?

It’s how many company announcements you haven’t read yet. It goes away once you’ve read them on the Announcements tab.

Steps

1. Click Team in the left menu. The Announcements tab opens.
2. Scroll through the feed. Unread announcements are marked Unread and count as read once they’ve been on your screen for a moment.
3. To clear everything at once, click Mark all read at the top of the feed.

Good to know

• Only announcements posted after you joined the company count toward the number.
• Polls, kudos, policies and surveys don’t add to this number. Policies that need your signature appear under Needs your signature on the Policies tab.
• The number updates when you move to another page or reload.
• Announcements you post yourself count as read automatically.
