Can I send a file or picture in chat?

No. Chat, group chats and channels only support text, with formatting and links. There’s no file attachment option.

Good to know

• Workaround: upload the file to the relevant project or task in WorkHub (or another file-sharing service), then paste the link into the chat. Links open in a new tab.
• In a channel, you can also pin a useful link to the channel’s bookmark bar with Add bookmark.
