What is the "Filtered email" list?

It’s a task list WorkHub creates in your Inbox project to hold new emails that look automated rather than written by a customer. They’re still saved as tickets, but kept out of your normal queue.

Good to know

  • Filtered tickets are tagged:
    • “Promotional”: newsletters and marketing (mailing-list headers, unsubscribe wording, offers)
    • “Vendor billing”: invoices, receipts, renewals and similar notices from automated or vendor senders
    • “Automated”: no-reply, notification and alert senders, auto-generated mail, and other mail from known vendor domains (for example payment, hosting and software companies)
  • Filtered emails get no auto-reply and trigger no “new ticket” notification.
  • A person writing by hand from a normal address is never filtered. Addresses like billing@ or accounts@ are treated as real customers.
  • Anyone listed in Clients, and anyone your team has emailed from a ticket before, is never filtered.
  • Replies to existing tickets are never filtered.
  • If a real customer ends up here, move the ticket to your normal list and reply as usual. Adding them under Clients stops it happening again.
  • The list is created automatically the first time something is filtered.
