How do I create a public form?
Open the project the submissions should go into, click the “Forms” tab, then “Create Form”. Every submission becomes a ticket in the task list you choose.
Steps
- Open the project.
- Click the “Forms” tab, then “Create Form”.
- Enter a “Form Name” (for example “Bug Report”) and an optional “Description”.
- Choose a “Target Task List”. This is required, and it’s where new tickets will be created.
- Leave “Active” ticked to accept submissions right away.
- Click “Create Form”. The form editor opens so you can add fields.
- Add your fields and click “Save”.
- Click “Open Form” to see the public page, and share its link.
Good to know
- Every form always asks for “Your Name” and “Your Email”. You don’t need to add those fields.
- Each submission creates an Open ticket titled “Ticket#
”. The submitter gets a confirmation email with a “View Ticket History” link, and the project lead gets a “New form submission” notification. - Answers are saved on the ticket as custom fields, and listed in its description.
- You need access to the project. Viewers can’t create forms.
- Forms can’t be deleted. To stop submissions, set the form to Inactive.
