How do I set up the support inbox?
A company admin enters the mailbox details under Settings > Company Settings > “Support inbox”. After saving, WorkHub starts turning new emails into tickets on its next check, about every 5 minutes.
Steps
- In the left sidebar, click “Settings”, then “Company Settings”.
- In the “Support inbox” section, fill in:
- “IMAP server”, for example {imap.gmail.com:993/imap/ssl}INBOX
- “Support address”, for example support@yourcompany.com
- “Mailbox password”. For Gmail, use an App Password, not your normal password.
- “Inbox project”, the project new email tickets go into
- “Inbox list” (optional), a list within that project. If left empty, the project’s first list is used.
- “Sender name”, shown on auto-replies, for example “Acme Support”
- Click “Save settings”.
Good to know
- Only company admins can open Company Settings.
- The inbox needs a server, address, password and project, or it isn’t checked at all.
- The Inbox project must belong to your company. If the Inbox list isn’t in that project, it’s ignored.
- The saved password is never shown again. To change it, type a new one. To delete it, tick “Remove saved value”.
- If you see a warning that passwords and API keys can’t be saved yet, ask the platform owner to finish the server’s secret setup.
- Whoever leads the Inbox project gets a notification for each new email ticket.
