My card payment was declined. What should I do?
Check the card details and billing ZIP, then try again or use another card. Declined payments aren’t charged.
Steps
- Read the message shown above the form. It often includes the card issuer’s reason.
- Make sure the card number, expiry date, security code and Billing ZIP match the card.
- Try again, or use a different card.
- If it keeps failing, contact your bank or the company.
Good to know
- After 5 failed attempts on the same invoice within an hour, you’ll see “Too many failed payment attempts on this invoice.” Wait an hour, or contact the company.
- “Payment could not be processed” usually means a temporary problem. Try again in a few minutes.
- “Online payment is temporarily unavailable” means the card service can’t be reached right now. Try later or contact the company.
- If the approval screen appeared, your payment went through even if the receipt email didn’t arrive. Keep the reference number shown on screen.
