I didn't get a confirmation email for my ticket. What happened?
Give it a few minutes and check your spam or junk folder first. The support inbox is only checked about every 5 minutes, and some kinds of email never get a confirmation by design.
Steps
- Wait 5–10 minutes after sending.
- Check your spam, junk and promotions folders for “We’ve Received Your Message” (email tickets) or “We’ve Received Your Submission” (web forms).
- If you used a web form, make sure you typed your email address correctly. The confirmation goes only to the address you entered.
- If nothing arrives, contact the company another way and ask them to look for your request.
Good to know
- No confirmation is sent when your email looks automated or like bulk mail, for example when it comes from a no-reply or notifications address, carries mailing-list headers, or comes from a vendor’s billing system. It is still saved as a ticket, but it goes to a separate list for the team to review.
- Mail from senders the company has blocked is discarded. No ticket is created and no reply is sent.
- Staff writing from the company’s own email domain don’t get confirmations.
- A reply to an existing ticket doesn’t send a new confirmation. It is simply added to that ticket.
