Why are the Add Task and New Project buttons missing?

Your account most likely has the Viewer role, which is read-only. Viewers can see projects and tasks they have access to, but can’t create or change them.

Good to know

• For Viewers, WorkHub hides New Project, Add Task, New List, Manage Team, the bulk-selection checkboxes and the file upload area. Any change they try to make is refused with “Your account is read-only”.
• Viewers can still favorite projects, use their own Personal Tasks, manage their own profile and notifications, and search.
• If you need to create or edit work, ask a company admin to change your role to Editor or Admin.
• Some buttons depend on your project role, not your account role: only the Project Lead (or a company admin) can rename a project, change its status or change the lead, and only the Project Lead can add or remove members.
