How do I update many tasks at once?
In the project’s List View, tick the checkboxes next to the tasks, then use the action bar at the bottom of the screen to change status, priority, assignees, list or due date for all of them at once.
Steps
- Open the project and click List View.
- Tick the checkbox at the start of each task row. To select every task in a status group, tick the checkbox in that table’s header.
- In the bar at the bottom of the screen (“… selected”), choose an action:
- Status: set one status for all selected tasks.
- Priority: set Low, Normal, High or Urgent.
- Assign: click Add or Remove next to a project member.
- Move to list: pick a list, or No list.
- Due date: pick a date and click Set, or click Clear to remove due dates.
- To cancel the selection, click the X on the bar or press Esc.
Good to know
- You can update up to 200 tasks at a time.
- When setting Completed, any task that still has open sub-tasks or blocking tasks is skipped. A message lists each skipped task and why.
- People added with Assign are notified, the same as with single assignments.
- Bulk actions aren’t available on the Board or to Viewers.
