What do the task statuses mean?
Every task has one of eight statuses that show where it is in your workflow. WorkHub doesn’t enforce an order, so your team can use them in whatever way suits you.
Good to know
- Backlog: captured but not yet planned. New sub-tasks start here.
- Pending: waiting to be started. Tasks created with Add Task start here.
- In Planning (shown as Planning in project views): being scoped or planned.
- In Progress: actively being worked on.
- Testing: work is done and being checked.
- Approval: waiting for someone to sign off.
- Completed: finished. A task can’t be completed while it still has open sub-tasks or blocking tasks.
- Archived: put away. Archived tasks are hidden by default in List View and Board, and are WorkHub’s alternative to deleting a task.
- Assignees are notified whenever a task’s status changes.
- In List View, tasks are grouped into one table per status. In Board, each status is a column.
- Completed and Archived tasks don’t count toward “Tasks To Do” and don’t appear on your Dashboard widgets.
