Every WorkHub update, newest first: new features, major fixes and smaller improvements. Something not working? Check known issues.
Version 2.0.0
LatestNew features
- Online invoice payments. Clients can pay an invoice by card from its payment page. Card details go into the payment processor’s secure form (USAePay), so they never touch WorkHub, and the client gets a branded receipt by email.
- Invoices emailed to clients. Sending an invoice now emails it to the client with the amount due, the line items and a Pay now button. An Email invoice button resends it whenever you need to.
- Recurring invoices. Set an invoice to repeat every week, two weeks, month, three months, six months or year, with an optional end date. Each new invoice is created, sent and emailed to the client automatically, and missed cycles are skipped instead of back-billed.
- Payment reminders. Sent invoices with an open balance get a reminder email on the due date, then at 3 and 10 days late, with a copy to your billing mailbox. Reminders stop when the invoice is paid or voided, and you can switch them off per invoice.
- File uploads on projects and tasks. Drag and drop, paste or pick files up to 50 MB on any task, or add them to the project so every task can see them. Files only open for people with access to the project, including clients linked to it in the portal.
- Global search. Search tasks, projects, people, files, clients and invoices from the header, or press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) on any page. Results only include things you have access to.
- Board view. Projects have a Board tab with a column for each status. Drag a card to another column to change its status; the same filters as the list view apply.
- Bulk actions on tasks. Tick several tasks, or a whole group, to change status or priority, assign or unassign people, move them to another list or set a due date in one step.
- @mentions in task comments. Type @ in a comment to pick a project member, and they get a notification. Each person can turn mention notifications off in their settings.
- Recurring tasks. Tasks can repeat daily, weekly, monthly or yearly at any interval, with an optional end date. Completing one creates the next with the same list, priority, estimate, assignees and tags.
- Email notifications. Turn on Email Notifications in your profile and every notification type you’ve enabled also arrives by email.
- Forgot password. The Forgot password link on the sign-in page emails a single-use reset link that expires after an hour. Resetting your password signs you out everywhere else.
- Tickets in the client portal. Clients get a Your Tickets list showing the tickets they submitted and the tickets in projects linked to them.
- GitHub issues from tasks. Tag a task GitHub and it’s filed as an issue in the project’s GitHub repository. Closing the issue completes the task, and completing the task closes the issue.
- MCP server for AI agents. Connect WorkHub to Claude or another AI agent through our MCP server so it can work your support queue as a dedicated agent user. It can read tickets, reply by email, comment, update fields, log time and search the knowledge base, and an admin approves every connection in Settings → Agent Access.
- Support inbox filtering. Server alerts, newsletters, vendor billing and other automated mail no longer show up as normal customer tickets. Blocked senders are dropped, and promotional or automated mail is tagged and moved to a Filtered email list with no auto-reply; known clients and replies to existing tickets are never filtered.
Fixes
- Project access is checked everywhere. Every task, project, form and file action now confirms you belong to the project, and search only returns tasks you can reach. Viewers can read but not change work, and disabling a user signs them out right away.
- Large uploads failed with a confusing error. Uploading a big file could fail with an “unknown action” message. Uploads now work up to the 50 MB limit, and a file that’s too big gets an error that says so.
- Card payment form. The card field on the payment page showed up without its box, and failed payments only showed a generic message. The card box now displays properly, and customers see the processor’s actual reason when a payment doesn’t go through.
Other improvements and fixes
- Redesigned invoice payment page: amount due up front, a status label, readable dates and a cleaner phone layout.
- Repeated failed card attempts on an invoice are limited to block card testing.
- Task comments now display as plain text, so pasted formatting can’t affect the page.
- Sign-in sessions are better protected, and disabled accounts can’t sign in.
- Client-facing pages (payment, ticket and portal sign-in) now say “Powered by Davis Productions LLC”.
- New admin System Status page for upload limits, payment setup and recurring invoice runs.
Version 1.9.2
Fixes
- Task list picker was hidden and cut off. On a project’s Tasks view, choosing a list meant finding a small List button, and its menu was cut off by the toolbar. Lists are now a row of chips across the top with a task count on each, plus a No List chip for tasks that aren’t in a list.
Other improvements and fixes
- The Priority and Sort buttons show your current choice.
- Dropdown menus on the Tasks view no longer get cut off at the edges of the toolbar or table.
Version 1.9.1
Fixes
- Mobile app updates weren’t reaching phones. Changes to the mobile app weren’t being copied to the site it runs from, so recent fixes, like chat and task scrolling and assignee avatars, never showed up. The mobile app now updates itself automatically after each release.
- Bottom of the page cut off on phones. Opening a desktop page on a phone, for example from an email link, hid the bottom of the page behind the browser toolbar, including the chat box. Pages now fit the visible screen.
Version 1.9.0
New features
- Invoicing. Bill a project’s unbilled hours at the project’s or client’s rate, or create one-off invoices with your own line items. Billed hours are marked as invoiced, so they’re never billed twice.
- Clients. A Clients list and a profile for each client with their default rate, linked projects and invoices. Each project also gets an Invoices tab.
- Invoice payment links. Every invoice has a private link where the client can view it and pay by card.
- Client portal. Clients sign in to their own portal to see their projects, task progress and invoices. It’s separate from staff sign-in, so clients never reach internal pages.
- Printable invoices. Print any invoice or save it as a PDF with your company branding.
Fixes
- Billable hours setting wasn’t saved. The Billable hours checkbox when logging time on a task was ignored. It’s now saved, and billable hours flow into invoices.
Other improvements and fixes
- Notifications when an invoice is sent and when it’s paid.
Version 1.8.0
New features
- Assignees in the project task list. A project’s task list now shows up to three assignee avatars per task, with a +N for the rest, on desktop and in the mobile app.
Fixes
- Some channel bookmarks only showed for one person. Message bookmarks saved before bookmarks were shared only appeared for the person who added them. They now show for everyone in the channel.
- Chats and task lists wouldn’t scroll on phones. In the mobile app, chats, a project’s task list and task pages couldn’t scroll past the bottom of the screen. They now scroll normally.
Version 1.7.0
New features
- Personal tasks are full tasks. Personal to-dos on the dashboard now open the full task page with description, priority, due date, tags and time tracking. Tag one reclaim and it’s scheduled on your calendar like any other task.
- Task details in calendar events. Tasks scheduled through Reclaim.ai now carry their description, priority, dates, tags and an Open in WorkHub link in the calendar event.
Fixes
- @mentions in chat didn’t notify anyone. Mentioning someone in a chat message didn’t send them anything. They now get a “mentioned you” notification.
- Channel bookmarks were private. Each person only saw the bookmarks they had added. Channel bookmarks are now shared with everyone in the channel, and anyone in it can remove one.
- Task emails came from the wrong sender. Emails sent from a task all went out under one fixed staff address. They now come from the shared support address, and replies go back to the person who wrote the email.
Other improvements and fixes
- On the dashboard, clicking a personal task’s title opens it; only the checkbox completes it.
Version 1.6.0
New features
- Reclaim.ai scheduling. Tag a task reclaim and it’s sent to Reclaim.ai, which finds time on your calendar before the due date, splits big tasks into sessions and reschedules unfinished work. Time spent comes back into the task, and finishing it in Reclaim completes it in WorkHub.
Version 1.5.0
New features
- Clock in and out. A punch clock in the header, and in the mobile app’s top bar, tracks your workday with a live timer. It stays clocked in as you move between pages.
- Project timesheets. A Timesheets tab on each project shows a weekly grid of the hours each team member logged, with week-by-week navigation.
- Company timesheets for admins. Admins get a Timesheets report covering everyone’s time across the company, with task time and clock time shown separately. Filter it by person and browse week by week.
- Tasks grouped by status. A project’s list view now shows a separate table for each status, completed tasks at the bottom and archived tasks behind a Show archived toggle.
Fixes
- New tasks didn’t open after creating them. Creating a task from a project only refreshed the list. It now takes you straight to the new task, and the mobile app gets a + button for creating tasks from a project.
Other improvements and fixes
- Recent Activity only shows active tasks, most recently updated first.
- Notification links open the right page on desktop and mobile.
Version 1.4.1
Fixes
- Mobile app wouldn’t load. The mobile app failed with server errors because it couldn’t find the main app’s files. It now finds them correctly.
Version 1.4.0
New features
- Support email becomes tickets. WorkHub checks your support mailbox and turns new emails into tickets. Replies with the ticket number in the subject, from customers or staff, are added to the existing ticket, with quoted reply chains trimmed off.
- Form colors. Public forms can use your own accent, background, card, text and input colors, with dark and light presets.
- Task list management. Create task lists from the project page and filter tasks by list. Every new project starts with a General list.
- Admins can manage any project. Admins can open every project, change the project lead, edit project details and create forms on any project.
Fixes
- Some text wouldn’t save. Tasks, comments, chat messages and form submissions could fail to save when they contained emoji or invisible characters that browsers sometimes add. They now save normally.
- Forms with show/hide fields wouldn’t submit. Required fields that were hidden by conditional logic blocked the form. Hidden fields no longer count as required.
- The first task on a new project failed. New projects had no task list, so adding a task returned an error. Projects now get a default list.
Other improvements and fixes
- Form field descriptions and dropdown options now save correctly.
- Emails with long lines no longer fail to send.
- Incoming emails with emoji no longer stop ticket creation.
- Formatted content is no longer blocked by the server’s security filter when saving.
- Clearer error messages when a submission fails.
Version 1.3.0
New features
- Chat and channels. Direct messages and group chats with live updates, online status and unread badges, plus public or private team channels that admins create and manage. Both share one sidebar with search.
- Rich messages and bookmarks. The message editor supports bold, lists, code blocks, links, slash commands and @mentions. Pin links or individual messages to a channel’s bookmark bar.
- Notifications. A bell in the header shows when you’re added to a project, assigned a task, or when there are comments, status changes, chat messages, mentions or form submissions. Opening the item marks it read, and desktop pop-ups appear if you allow them.
- Mobile app. A phone version of WorkHub you add to your home screen, with announcements, today’s agenda, personal tasks and a notification center. WorkHub can also be installed as an app from a desktop browser.
- Smarter forms. Form fields can have help text, dropdown options and conditional logic that shows or hides a field based on earlier answers. Hidden fields are skipped when the form is checked and left out of the ticket.
Fixes
- Message times were off. New messages showed a time seven hours ahead until the page was refreshed. Times now show consistently everywhere.
Other improvements and fixes
- Admins can rename, edit and archive channels.
- Public forms explain where the confirmation email comes from.
- Saving a form no longer breaks its conditional logic.
- Notifications clear automatically when you open what they point to.
Version 1.2.0
New features
- Dashboard. The home page shows urgent priorities, tasks assigned to you, today’s agenda and a private personal task list. Start a new project from the header.
- Project page. Projects show live data, the project lead can be changed from the page, and a documents panel lists the project’s files and links.
- Form builder. Build forms by dragging in text, email, number, date, dropdown, checkbox and URL fields. Each form gets a public link, and a submission creates a ticket in the project with each answer saved as a custom field.
- Ticket confirmations and status page. People who submit a form get a confirmation email and can look up their ticket and its emails using their email address and ticket number. Forms can show a logo and use an email signature.
- Sidebar. Your projects load in the sidebar, which you can collapse and filter. Star a project to keep it under Favorites at the top.
- Profile settings. Upload a photo, edit your name and job title, change your password and choose which notifications you get.
- User management. Admins can invite people, set their role (Admin, Editor or Viewer), reset passwords and disable accounts, with search and filters.
- Audit log. Admins can review a filterable log of changes with the details of each one.
- Email signatures. Create personal email signatures with formatting and images. Admins can add company-wide signatures and pick a default.
Other improvements and fixes
- Sign out from the sidebar.
- Help button in the header.
- Emails no longer fail to send because of long lines.
- Updated logo on the sign-in page.
Version 1.1.0
New features
- Task page. Each task has its own page where you edit the title, status, priority, type, dates and time estimate in place. It also holds assignees, color-coded tags, subtasks with a progress bar, dependencies, and file or link attachments.
- Time tracking. Start and stop a timer on any task, or log time by hand.
- Task activity and email. Comments and change history share one activity feed, and you can email someone straight from the task. The description editor supports headings, lists, quotes, code blocks and slash commands.
- Custom fields. Create your own fields and add them to any task.
Other improvements and fixes
- Click a task’s ID to copy it.
Version 1.0.0
New features
- First version of WorkHub. Sign-in and the starting layout for the dashboard, projects, tasks, chat, channels, admin pages and your profile.
